Opposition View – Arsenal

Giles Anyiam answers our questions about the Gunners ahead of Saturday’s clash at the Emirates.

How’s your season been so far?

Awful defeat to Liverpool followed by a few indifferent performances but we gained confidence from the draw in Paris. We played some brilliant stuff before the interlull.

What’s your expectations this term?

Would love to see us finally see a real crack at the title. Squad looks good.

What did you make of your transfer dealings in the summer?

Xhaka looks like the solid controller we’ve been missing for years. Holding looks promising. Perez is an unknown quantity. But Gooners have fallen in love with Mustafi. Compliments Koscielny. Front foot CB and developing a good understanding with Kos.

A lot of the big clubs strengthened in the summer. Who do you see as the favourites for the title?

Man City for obvious reasons.

Arsene Wenger is out of contract in the summer, would you like him to sign a new one or should be step aside?

If he wins the PL title or CL I’d happily see him stick around for a few more years.

What do you make of Swansea and which players if any do you fear?

It looks like the Swans are in turmoil based on what I’ve heard. But you still have Gylfi who’s a quality player.

Predict the score and where both teams will finish

3-1 Arsenal. Need to dispel that Swansea hoodoo at home!
