Top 20 Goals At The Liberty – No 11

In the fanzine this term we have been counting down the top 20 goals at the Liberty to mark a decade at our current home. Over the next few weeks we will countdown one per day accompanied with a video of the goal where possible. At 11 is a player who played a pivotal role in our promotion to the Premier League.

11. Scott Sinclair v Nottingham Forest, March 2011

The ex Chelsea wideman was at the peak of his powers during the Swans promotion winning season and this goal typified his importance to the team. He picked the ball up by the away dugout and drove at the Forest defence and found himself at the edge of the penalty area. It looked then as if he would be better off passing to a team mate but he showed a wonderful turn of pace to round two defenders on the edge of the box and then coolly slotted the ball past Lee Camp. A wonderful individual goal from a very important player.
