The transfer window that has now closed, was by no means the worst in the recent history of Swansea City, but then again the bar has been set so low since the change of ownership in 2016 that it really isn’t a compliment either.

I was about to settle down for an evening meal in Bristol with some friends when I heard the news that Huw Jenkins had resigned as chairman of Swansea City.
The appointment of Graham Potter along with the revelation that he’d be in charge of transfers indicated to me that we’d learnt something from the previous two shambolic seasons which inevitably saw us relegated in the end.
